Living The life Of Love!

I think that God realized, when he was inspiring Paul to write the letter to the Corinthians, that by the time it got to our day we'd be using one word for 'love' when there are many kinds of love and the Greeks had different words for each kind. Knowing we could misunderstand what love he was referring to, God got Paul to detail just what is the love that is in our hearts through Holy Spirit and which we must utilize and exhibit as we walk with Him.

1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never ends.

We of ourselves cannot provide this agapé kind of love but with God we can have it. That's why we are to focus on Jesus and let Him live His life through us. With Him all things are possible and through Him and His love in us we live lives pleasing to God. By God's grace and through faith in Jesus we are enabled to glorify God in our day to day lives. With this love, the gifts and the calling of God in our lives have their perfect expression.

Romans 5:5 ... because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

As we live in Jesus and He lives in us we are empowered to live that kind of godly, righteous, loving life that Paul talked about. That's our calling.

Best wishes for Grace and the Peace of Jesus.
