We know we will be changed so we do not lose sight of the goal. This life is temporary; it's the next life that is eternal. So what should our eyes be focussed on as we go through life? What is it that should be our glorious obsession; the thing which makes getting up a pleasure and pushes depression away?

2 Corinthians 5:1  For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 

God's plan for us is to give us everlasting life and to enjoy this we will be given a new body (tent) not as this earthly one but spiritual and built for that life with Him.

We could come under trial in this life and even lose our lives through persecution but we have a guaranteed future that others who rely on their own salvation works cannot share in.

We walk by faith in God and His Son Jesus Christ, for the just shall live by faith.

Romans 1:16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17  For in it is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
