When we think of how life is always going through changes we see how it can be unfair especially where one relies on men for one's welfare. For those who rely on Jesus though there is the promise of being kept safe and having a hope that cannot fail.

Matthew 12:20 "A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not quench, until he brings justice to victory; 21 and in his name the Gentiles will hope.”

Like all people in the world we will have some ups and downs, but we know that if we put faith in Jesus his grace (empowerment) will see us through all things that may come against us. When you look at the people called in the New Testament times we see that grace brings power with it! Grace always does but we don't always use what God gives us. We give up the extraordinary to be like everyone else. It doesn't have to be like that though.

Acts 6:8 And Stephen, full of grace and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people.

While we will be affected by the world we lived in, we don't have to follow it. Instead as we follow Jesus, He gives us the victory.
