God the father and Jesus sent Holy Spirit to dwell in His children, us, and as He brings our focus onto Jesus we are changed into that same glorious image that Jesus is, little by little. The change may be small each day but the glory of God that you get to reflect increases more and more as you look/focus on Jesus.

2 Corinthians 3:15 Yet even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. 17 Now the Lord is the Sirit, and where the Lord's Spirit is, there is freedom. 18 As all of us reflect the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, we are being transformed into the same image with ever-increasing glory by the Lord's Spirit.

This being the case we should not get discouraged by any trials or persecutions that Satan throws your way. Keep in mind that God's plan through Jesus was always to make you like His son in glory but He kept this a secret till Jesus died on the cross for you. Jesus' work being finished perfectly this ensured that Satan cannot thwart His good and perfect plan to bring you to glory.

Colossians 1:26 This secret was hidden throughout the ages and generations but has now been revealed to his saints, 27 to whom God wanted to make known the glorious riches of this secret among the gentiles-which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

So focus ALL your day to day life on Jesus and His work in you through the Holy Spirit. Live by following the prompting of Holy Spirit in you and be transformed into the image of Jesus from one degree of glory to another. Focus on Jesus and what Jesus is doing in you and you will not be discouraged or disappointed.
