There are so many methods of healing provided by God in His goodness and God is definitely still in the healing business today! And example of how He works can be seen in the life of Philip shown in Acts, Chapter 8..

Acts 8:5-7 And Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed Christ to them.  And the people with one accord gave heed to those things which Philip spoke, hearing and seeing the many miracles which he did.  For out of those having unclean spirits, many came out, crying with loud voice. And many who had been paralyzed and lame were healed. 

Unclean spirits came out of the possessed and the paralyzed  and lame were healed by Philip's preaching of Jesus. Having been sent out to bring the word to others when he preached Jesus - People heard the word and received it and many were healed.

Psalm 107:20 He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man!

So we see that the revealed word of God (Rhema)  when understood and heeded by the hearer can be and is used by the Holy spirit through us to heal.

We know that "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the (Rhema) word of God" and when the word is received in faith; for instance the word that "By His (Jesus') stripes we were healed", many are indeed healed.

When Philip preached, Philip did miracles. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are alive and well and we know their power did it through Philip, but the scriptures ascribe the healing to Philip. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are doing the same and similar miracles, signs and wonders today by those who have the courage to preach the word of total salvation.
