It's amazing to consider how God works in concert with us mortals to fulfill His will here on earth. He works through us! We can see this illustrated in Acts, Chapter 3, soon after Jesus was resurected to be with the Father.

Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Acts 3:16 And his name through faith in his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know: yes, the faith which is by him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Notice that this is not a prayer to God the Father to heal the man! This is based on Jesus' word to the disciples as recorded in John 14:12-14 and it's a direct request/demand to Jesus in His name and Jesus will do it through faith in His name.

John 14:12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

So with this method available to believers, you use the name of Jesus and faith in His name to heal. It's not just using His name as a magic portent. Jesus' name is important but it's in conjunction with faith in His name.

So we can start focussing in on the works that Jesus did and later on we can do the greater works that He promised. Let's not try to run before we can walk! Let's do the ordinary stuff first and get some experience  and leave the greater things for later

His name through faith in His name will make lame men strong and do other miracles according to Jesus' guaranteed word. He prefaced this statement with  Truly, truly, I say to you".  So, while Jesus' name is still around and faith is still around then healing by them is still around

If you believe God's word then believing Jesus should not be a problem!  His name through your faith in His name will heal the sick. Only those three things are required. Be a believer; Use His name; Have faith in His name.

We can all do that as believers surely!
