There are many, many methods of healing provided by God in His goodness. I thought that for completeness I should include this one even though you'd need to specially find the person who has been given this anointing. It's not general.

Acts 5:14-16 And more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 so that they even carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them 16 The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

This anointing is  apparently given only to a few in any era because I only know of one group (House of God - Bethel) which reports healings being done this way but then in the time immediately after Jesus' ascension only Peter is mentioned as being so endowed by Holy Spirit.

It is a valid means of healing provided by God through His believers though and the closer we draw to God, Jesus and Holy Spirit presumably the more likely we can be used in this way as God's work requires it.

The guiding light for God to work His will through us always comes down to our faith in Him (Jesus) so when we put our trust wholly in Jesus we can expect to see more miracles to draw the world to God, just as happened to the believers in the first century Church.

With prayer and study and through love and faith in God we too can move from "wishing and a-hoping" to actually "believing and a-doing".
