Holy Spirit always gives us encouragement to draw close to God; to move on upwards in our heavenly calling and in living a life based on love. He does not remind us of our sins or unrighteousness - it's Satan who is the accuser of the brethren.

Holy Spirit also makes us to be filled with and abound in Joy, Peace and Hope by His power in us.

Romans 15:12 And again, Isaiah says: "There shall be the root of Jesse; and He that shall rise to rule over the Gentiles, in Him the Gentiles shall hope." 13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

God has a plan for each and every one of us and to carry out that plan He has provided us with all the power needed through Holy Spirit. We thus are able to have Joy and Peace as we follow Jesus. We know that He who is in us is greater than He who is in the world! Therefore we abound in Godly Hope - The assured expectation of good!

So having been given our own part in God's "ministry of reconciliation" we do not faint but rather abound in Hope. Just as Jesus' part of the plan was all about good news so is ours and it's powered by Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 5:18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.

That 'hope' that we have because of God's grace, we are to abound in and pass on to others. We have a future and a 'hope', knowing that God is not imputing our sins against us. Believe on Jesus and you too will receive Holy Spirit and be filled with 'joy' and 'peace' and and abound in 'hope' and the 'power' to live pleasing to Him.
