When we are asked to pray for someone to be healed perhaps the first thing to ask of the Holy Spirit in us is, "What is the person's faith expectation?"

There are many ways/levels in which a person's faith can be expressed. Some for instance believe God to such an extent that they can take their healing themselves. Some though need/expect the laying on of hands and when you perceive this, use the laying on of hands.

Luke 4:40 When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them.

Jesus healed people through the power of Holy Spirit in him and used the laying on of hands as a point of contact at times.

Mark 16:17 "These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; . . . . . they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.

So here Jesus tells us that along with speaking healing over the person in his name we also can add the laying on of hands as a point of contact for the healing anointing to flow into the person being healed.

Ask Holy Spirit what the faith level of the person requires and then apply what Holy Spirit leads you to understand is needed for their complete healing to manifest. Holy Spirit is our guide.
