Our Words Mean Life or Death!

The words we say mean life or death. That is what the scriptures tells us. There is no middle ground. What we say has a huge affect on our future and the future of those we speak to; and their words affect us!

Romans 10:10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

The greatest miracle that we can have is to be saved. We need the faith of God to believe and then we confess with our mouths what we believe and we are saved. It's by grace.

And this being the greatest miracle that can take place means that healing, deliverance and doing the works that Jesus did are minor compared! We somehow don't think of them being lesser miracles so we don't exhibit the faith needed to see them take place, but that doesn't change the facts.

John 14:12 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it".

Everything that God or Jesus says is true. When Jesus prefixes a statement with the words "Truly, truly", it's to let you know that it's guaranteed and vitally important.

Whatever we ask for in Jesus' name He will do. Other passages like Mark 11:22-24 fill out the details and show that it's must be according to His will and done in faith, never doubting. Our faith filled words are of great effect! When people doubt what God says or think it's not a matter of faith (you just have to keep your fingers crossed!) then they will not have what they ask, but if you walk in faith you WILL move mountains!

Many deceive themselves by thinking that their unbelief is humility! We can easily visualize our unbelief as humility by telling ourselves that God in His sovereign will is not allowing us to have what we ask for, so we have to bear with it. But Mark 11:22-24 tells us the truth.

Mark 11:22 And Jesus answered them, Have faith in God. 23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

The starting point is based on exhibiting the faith of Jesus, never doubting.

Best wishes for Grace and the Peace of Jesus.
