The bible tells us that God made us and indeed made us in His image so that we could have a close relationship with him and give Him pleasure! He is so awesome that He is worthy of all our praise and yet He wants to be close to us and have us close to Him!

Revelation 4:11 You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created.

Our highest calling is to give God pleasure. When we do the things that God puts on our hearts it brings pleasure. When we wander with Him in the cool of the evening and talk to Him 'heart to heart' like adam did at first, it pleases Him. When we do what Holy Spirit convicts us of and believe on Jesus it pleases Him.

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

So seeing that without faith it's impossible to please God we should realise that it;s when we put our full trusty in Him and rely on Him without doubting that we are giving Him most pleasure and when we will feel the heartbeat of our God the most.

Putting faith in God does not mean that we always get instant answers to our prayers but we know that with our prayers being aligned with God's will the answer will always be 'Yes!'. This itself is a promise from God regarding all His promises.

2 Corinthians 1:20 For all God's promises are "Yes" in him (Jesus). And so through him we can say "Amen," to the glory of God.

Knowing all this and knowing God loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to die for us, how can we not love Him and do everything that we can to please Him in honouring Him, worshipping Him, praising Him and following Jesus.
