Every year in late spring we commemorate Pentecost when God sent Holy Spirit to live IN His people. We will at that time especially celebrate having a 'life' coach and guide who is IN us instructing us 'Spirit to spirit' and also empowering us to live according to the will of God. He provides us with both the 'will' and the 'power' to live righteous lives and brings us into a knowledge of Jesus and the future before us.

Acts 2:1 When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Before, we tried to live according to external laws and rules and codes and we failed miserably and just brought condemnation on ourselves, because the laws cannot help us to keep them! Now it's up to us to submit our old lives to being renewed according to Holy Spirit's guidance and by God's grace and power residing in us.

John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. For He shall not speak of Himself, but whatever He hears, He shall speak. And He will announce to you things to come.

When you see what God can do through you (as compared to what little you can do by yourself) then you'll want to walk according to the promptings of Holy Spirit in you. This new life is just too much fun!

Philippians 2:13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

When God is pleased with what you are doing you'll be having the greatest time of your life also!
