They say that our Western culture is derived from a Greek heritage and if so one would expect their attitudes to be similar to ours. In this passage from the book of Acts, Chapter 17, verse 23, we see the Greeks in Athens worshiping an unknown god, just in case! Paul said to them...

Acts 17:23 While I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription, ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you.

Can we be like that also? Going along with the prevalent thought even though we don't have any proof that it's true? A new god comes on the scene and just because it's adherents are vocal we abandon our own beliefs and follow theirs?

In His life Jesus gave proofs that He was from God, by miracles, signs and wonders. You didn't have to believe in blind faith. In fact the blind were healed so they could see for themselves!

Today we have religions with gods and religions like evolution with no gods, but what The God of the bible has always said is "Prove Me!". That should apply to all other gods and non-gods who want your allegiance - "What's the proof that their adherent's claims are true. Not just statements - proof.

Jesus said that his followers, those who believe anyway, would be able to do the things that He did, and even greater things. Not everything in their lives would be fair or go smoothly and He said they would have persecution, but they would have absolute proof that He was God.

Matthew 10:7 “And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give".

He would freely give them power to do these things and they should pass on those benefits freely as well.

If there's a new kid on the block let's compare and contrast. What can that new God do? By himself? Check the proof!
