God loves us and has stored up for us blessings now and for evermore. He tells us that He wants above all that we we be in health and prosper even as our soul prospers. He's a GOOD God. He loves us and our response to that love is to love Him in return. When we love, bless and worship the Lord He, like any Good dad, just wants to hug us and give us everything we desire that would be good for us..

Psalm 65:4 Blessed is the one you choose and bring near, to dwell in your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, the holiness of your temple!

That's why He tells us in the book of Matthew, Chapter 6, that when we seek first His kingdom all other things will be given to us.

Mat 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

We tend to think of ourselves first though and so the acquiring of things is by our efforts and is a struggle not the blessing that God wants for us and to give us through His favour in our lives.

If we let Jesus live His life through us though we will learn 'God awareness' and we will renew our minds to think 'relationship with God' first, and as our self-importance recedes we will know God more; we will sit at His feet and fellowship with Him like Mary did; and we will naturally grow in love and grace.
