God wants us to do two things; Submit to Him and Resist the devil. These two things apply at all times. Our lives are to be lived in submission to God; living according to the guidance that He gives us through Holy Spirit in us. We are to put faith in God in all things, every day, 24/7. As James tells us...

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Secondly, God wants us to resist the devil. WE are to do it! We are to be angry with everything that Satan does, day and night. He comes only to steal, kill and destroy.

Ephesians 4:26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil.

We are to love one another and outdo one another in showing honor on the one hand, and on the other hand we are to hate all evil and pray against everything that Satan and his demons try to do to God's people. Don't let your anger wane in regard to the evil he brings.

Satan HAS been defeated but we have to hate the works he continues to try to do by deceit and enforce that defeat by resisting him; and he WILL flee. Remember...
