The cross shows the highest expression of God's love such that, for people who did not deserve it and who in fact were and are in rebellion against Him, God gave his Son to suffer and die for their redemption.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

This being the case we should be mindful to accept so great a love and so great a salvation and having accepted and been given His authority, to tell others of our good God and what He has done for all the world!

Matthew 10: 7 And proclaim as you go, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons.

Those who appreciate how much God loves them, love Him and do His commands, like that one above. When you think that the disciples were doing these things before they were born again or received the Holy Spirit it's awesome to think of the power and privilege that we are walking in as Christians today and mostly not using.

But if we believe what Jesus said, then in His name (by His authority) we can do all the things, through the strength that He gives us by His Holy Spirit in us.
