Have you noticed that evolutionists have been able to get many church-goers to accept their faith that the earth is billions of years old?

There is a saying that "If you repeat something often enough and loudly enough you can get many people to believe you!

Not everyone believes in billions of years for the age of the earth but it does appear that a large number of people have converted to this belief.

So, given that the 'theory of evolution' and the 'geological column' are both unproven inventions, or conjectures, it would be good to see what the God, who was there at the beginning, has to say about origins.

Take Romans 1:20 for instance...

Rom 1:20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

So according to Paul writing to the Romans, God's attributes have been clearly revealed to man since the creation of the world!

Paul, under inspiration of God, puts man and the world's creation as being contemporaneous!

This is not the only place where God inspires the writers of the bible to record His eyewitness account of what really happened at creation! Take the inspired book of Mark, chapter 10, verse 6. Here Jesus is answering a question regarding divorce and this is what He says.

Mar 10:6 But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

So out of Jesus' own words we have a record of man being on hand at the beginning of creation and having marriages!

From the internal biblical evidence we know that Jesus did not lie, else He would have been a sinner and we would not have a saviour!

Further to this, we cannot say that he did not know all that we know today and was simply mis-informed, since the bible tells us He was the creator! He was there!

Further still, He told us that He only said what He heard the Father say, and only did what He saw the Father do. So to believe He was in error in any statement is to believe that the Father lied to Him! Regardless of His personal attributes His speech was a reiteration of what the Father said!

We can also get witness statements from the old testament. One such place is in Exodus 20, vers 11, which says...

Exo 20:11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

So according to this statement written down by God Himself, the heavens and the earth and the seas and everything that is in them were all made in six days! And the only six days that God details of Him making stuff is the six days at the start of Genesis 1, which has the sun, moon and stars being made on Day 4 and man being made on Day 6. Just two 24 hour days apart!

So above we have three witness statements from the bible that man and the world's creation were contemporaneous and a Christian's belief system should surely be based on the bible!
